Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vermont Developmental Disabilities Council is seeking letters of interest from a statewide selfadvocacy organization supporting Vermonters with developmental disabilities. The successful candidate would join a diverse team working on the Inclusive Healthcare Partnership Project (IHPP). IHPP is funded by a community grant under the Health Equity Project of the Vermont department of Health. IHPP is engage in two strategies to improve the health outcomes and healthcare experience of Vermonters with intellectual and developmental disabilities. First, IHPP will create 12 to 14 health communication tools that share key health information in plain language and easy read formats. The communication tools will draw from the emerging field of graphic medicine. Second, IHPP will revise curricula to teach disability etiquette and how to communicate effectively with patients with I/DD. The IHPP team will present the trainings at least eight times during the grant performance period.
