Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the State of Rhode Island Division of Purchases on behalf of the Rhode Island Department of Transportation is to acquire multiple qualified engineering consulting firms for scoping/preliminary design service contracts. These firms will develop preliminary project designs; performing preliminary investigations; and analyzing, documenting, and recommending alternatives. The scope of work under this RFP is to provide preliminary design packages from which Final Design Consultant services will be procured. While not typical, if new programs are created, Final Design and Construction Phase Services may be included for select projects. It also may include developing Request for Proposals (RFP) documents, developing Base Technical Concept documents, and provide Owner’s Representative Services during construction for the Design-Build Projects.
