Specifications include, but are not limited to: Report to the Activities Director or COO on a weekly basis to discuss anticipated work and schedule. It is anticipated that there will be 2 to 8 hours of work available weekly depending on need. Flexibility in regard to evening and weekend hours is beneficial in meeting the individual needs of the Veterans and members.; The Chaplain will be expected to perform one on one visits with Veteran or members for pastoral care per their request. A list of Veterans or members requesting services will be maintained by the VVH and provided to the Chaplain on a weekly basis. The Chaplain will be expected to document the occurrence of these visits in the Electronical Medical Record.; The Chaplain may receive calls to come in for end-of-life visits per the request of Veterans, member or their families.; The Chaplain will also be expected to perform group services as requested by the VVH. They will coordinate and provide Holiday and Holy Day Service.; The Chaplain will assist the social services department in completion of Advanced Directive documents for Veterans and members. When informed that a document requires the Chaplain as a witness they will be informed by this department and will then meet with the Veteran or member to witness that the resident appeared to be understanding and be free from duress or undue influence at the time of signing.; The Chaplain may be asked to participate in VVH community events, such as The Day or Remembrance.; The Chaplain must provide verification of up-to-date vaccination for Covid 19 and comply with Veterans Home testing requirements.
