Specifications include, but are not limited to: Specific tasks to be completed in this phase include: • Attend meetings with staff at 60% and 90% completion to present design, concepts, phasing and costs estimates, and incorporate changes as necessary. In addition, assume a minimum of one meeting per week with various City staff will be needed to coordinate the design phase. • The final bridge plans shall include construction plans for all bridge elements based on the detailed design criteria provided during preliminary design. The Consultant shall provide time for review and approval by the City and other regulatory agencies. The Consultant will provide construction plans such as, but not limited to: Detailed construction plans for each major component substructure/superstructure. Title sheet, sheet index sheet, estimated quantity sheets, standard plates Construction notes, special provisions, standard plan sheets, construction staging plans, traffic control plans and tabulations Existing conditions and utilities, survey control sheet, removals plan Geotechnical details • The Consultant shall provide an engineer’s cost estimate at 60% plan, 90% plan and 100% plan. The estimate shall be separated by major structure, item, and funding source. • Develop the requisite engineering design and technical specifications to remove and replace the existing watermain crossing located at the 10st Ave Bridge over the Midtown Greenway. The design shall comply with the City’s design criteria for new watermain, as well as any applicable design standards stipulated by the Hennepin County Regional Rail Authority (HCRRA) for a buried watermain/utility crossing through the corridor. • Consult with the assigned Water Treatment and Distribution staff engineer for a review of the design, and approval of the construction documents. Prepare the requisite construction documents and details and incorporate them into the larger plan documents for this project. • Refine the detailed schedule for completing all elements of the project (design, approvals, bidding, and construction) as directed by the City project manager. • Complete a constructability review and a construction staging plan that addresses removals, reconstruction, impacts to affected entities including businesses, pedestrians, and traffic as well as utilities.
