Specifications include, but are not limited to: New Parking Lot on SW corner of Campus – Parking Lot #23 University of South Dakota Vermillion, South Dakota USD Project #: 10947 OSE Delegated Project #: R0623--07X/DEL The University of South Dakota is soliciting Statements of Interest from firms interested in providing professional engineering services for the project referenced above. The project scope will involve the design, cost estimate, bid, and construction for the New Parking Lot on SW corner of Campus – Parking Lot #23, at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD. The project will include demolition of existing concrete slabs, retaining walls and sidewalks within the project site. The project will include new utilities, storm sewer, earthwork, cement stabilized soil, concrete paving, curb and gutter, sidewalks, lighting, striping, and signage. The proposed construction site is located at 216 East Clark. We look to have the survey performed late September 2022 with bidding documents completed in January 2023 and bid in February 2023. Construction is to begin April 2023 with completion mid-August 2023. The construction budget for the project is $1,900,000 but be advised this number is subject to change. Firms desiring to be considered for providing professional services for this project should send a Statement of Interest that outlines their qualifications and experience for this project. Statements of Interest should include at a minimum: (1) Specialized expertise, capabilities, and technical competence as demonstrated by the team’s capabilities, proposed approach and methodology to meet the project requirements. (30%) (2) Resources available to perform the work, including any specialized services, within the specified time limits for the project. Include resumes of all personnel, including subconsultants who will be assigned to this project for the entire duration. (15%) (3) Record of past performance, including price and cost data from previous projects, quality of work, ability to meet schedules, cost control, and contract administration. (30%) (4) Availability to project locale. (5%) (5) Familiarity with project locale. (10%) (6) Proposed project management techniques. (5%) (7) Ability and project history in handling special project constraints. (5%) The firm will be selected from the Statements of Interest submitted.
