Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Vendor must only bid and provide items manufactured by the LRWRA approved foundries listed below. Vendor should indicate the foundry for each item on the Bid Line Item. LRWRA shall have the right to alter the list below at any time without reason or advance notice. LRWRA Approved Foundries: • Bass and Hays Foundry • Deeter Foundry • East Jordan Iron Works B. Lids must be cast with the following information on the inside of the lid: • Foundry's name • Manufacturing factory mark • Part number • Production date in "Month Day, Year" format Note: Reference technical drawing below for additional required wording and placement. C. The following requirements shall apply to all lids and rings. 1. Must be an American Iron product meeting the following standards: • Gray Iron: American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) A 48, Class 35B • Ductile Iron: American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) A 536, Grade 80-55-06 • Vendor must adhere to all American Iron and Steel (AIS) and Buy America specification requirements set forth in the provisions of P.L. 113-76, Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014. 2. Must be manufactured in the United States of America and must be clearly marked "Made in the USA". 3. Must be cast following the specifications and requirements as shown on the technical drawing below, which contains detailed specifications and requirements, including dimensions, configurations, weights, wording, word placement, etc. 4. Must be free from porosity, blowholes, hard spots, shrinkage, distortion, and other defects; smooth and well cleaned by sandblasting and manufactured true to pattern. 5. Lid and ring bearing surfaces must be smooth finish, non-rocking design or machined bearing surfaces to prevent rocking and rattling under traffic. 6. Final casting dimensions may vary up to a maximum of 1/16 inch per foot. 7. Watertight manhole ring and cover must be machined with dovetail groove in cover for self-sealing rubber gasket
