Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Idaho Information Technology Serviceshas requested an exemption from competition for the purchase of Surveillance Cameras. Apex Integrated Security Solutions; • Health and Safety – Several video surveillance cameras must be replaced, maintained, and licensed to ensure the health and safety of residents and staff; • Current PADD for Video Surveillance is lacking vendor support (no local presence for, design, installation or support) – Licensing for Milestone software can be purchased on state contract through SHI, however the contract does not cover camera hardware or professional services for installation and support. Partnered with DOP for guidance on where professional services and camera hardware can be purchased and followed their recommendation to request a proposal from Stanley Security. Stanley declined to provide a quote citing "Due to the timeframe to prepare the quote, Stanley’s lack of a physical presence, and minimal subcontractor resources, we overall felt we could not provide a quote and level of support that would meet Stanley’s standards”. As a result, we partnered with APEX who is a local vendor that has installed several camera systems across the state to provide a quote to bring the IDVS Video Surveillance system back to operational state.; • Financial Impact – IDVS has funds available now and a serious to bring their video surveillance cameras back to a fully operational and supportable state.
