Specifications include, but are not limited to: collect up to 35 benthic algal scrape samples each year toassess the spatial and temporal dynamics, composition and densities of soft bodied algae and diatoms in theKootenai River. Samples will be collected before and after a proposed phosphorus addition project aimed ataffecting the algal community. We aim to assess changes in the algal community as a result of the proposedtreatment(s).The total number of samples scheduled for a collection each year will not exceed 35 samples per year. Sampleswill be collected on a calendar year (January - December) basis and sample delivery and lab analysis will becompleted on the fiscal year basis (July - June). Data and invoices will be submitted to the State Liaison byJune 15 (or earlier) for the prior calendar years samples. This contract is expected to last for seven (7) years.
