Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Recover refrigerant.; • Demolish six (6) existing rooftop package units and one (1) existing split system unit and dispose of off-site.; • Provide and install one (1) new 12.5 ton package unit.; • Provide and install one (1) new 6 ton package unit.; • Provide and install three (3) new 4 ton package unit.; • Provide and install one (1) new 7.5 ton package unit.; • Provide and install one (1) new 1 ton split system.; • Return all areas affected by the Work to original condition.; • Provide and install insulation on exposed ductwork on the roof.; • Provide and install new thermostats for all replaced units.; • Reuse electrical disconnects, whips, electrical conductors/control wiring as appropriate. Bring to the attention of the City Project Manager any of these components if they are not in working condition or are unsafe to use.; • Perform proper start-up and operation verification of all newly installed systems in accordance to the manufacturer and industry requirements.; • Install all units in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements and those of the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) in strict conformance to all related ordinances.; • Site specific safety plan (SSSP) in accordance with OSHA and industry standards/requirements for performing this type of work and for general construction site safety measures. In addition, develop a Heat Illness Prevention Plan (HIPP) due to high exterior ambient temperatures during the summer season.; • Provide to the City Project Manager a certificate of insurance for General Liability and Worker's Compensation coverage.; • Furnish all permits required to achieve the Work.; • The new units must be installed without modifying the roof openings/penetrations.
