Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University will deliver (within the greater Bangor area) laundry to the awarded vendor 5 days a week while school is in session. This will go down to 2-3 days per week in Summer and over Winter break. The University has special events which may increase the volume of laundry for specific dates. On an average week while school is in session, the University generates 625 pounds of laundry. Additional University requirements: - The University will provide racks for uniforms and containers for other items to be transported to and from the awarded vendor. - Laundry will be coming from different venues at the University and must be kept separate during the laundering process. The Laundry will be separated according to venue and none of the items from separate venues can be comingled. Venues include Hilltop, York, Wells Catering, Cutler, UVAC, Advanced Structures and Composites Center, and Facilities Management among others. - These services are required on an as needed basis. - Laundry must be clean, dry and wrinkle free.
