Specifications include, but are not limited to: AREAS TO BE CLEANED: The entire length of all curbs (including median, curbs, and curb returns), uncurbed pavement edges, painted (2-way) left-turn lanes and flush concrete or paved medians, sidewalks, etc., shall be swept in conjunction with each associated street. In any case, no debris shall be left anywhere on the street pavement or on the sidewalks after sweeping is completed.; SWEEPING PRACTICES: The Contractor shall at all times use good sweeping practices and will be responsible for making adjustments to the equipment, as directed by the work inspector. The Contractor must exercise due care to prevent spilling, scattering, or dropping of refuse through sweeping activity and shall immediately cleanup such spillage, dropping, or scattering. Sweeping practices include, but are not limited to: ▪ Position gutter brooms at the proper angle to the curb line, touching the curb.; ▪ Adjust spray nozzles to keep dust emissions, caused by sweeping, within local air quality standards.; ▪ Center dirt reflector and main drag shoes shall be properly maintained and adjusted, or any other device designed to direct debris or dirt into the path of the rear broom.; ▪ Patterned concrete medians and crosswalks shall be cleaned with no dirt or sand left in the joints.; ▪ Flusher trucks shall be capable of producing between 90-120 pounds of water pressure with minimum of three (3) nozzles in an open position, and equipped with two (2) spray nozzles on front, two (2) nozzles in the middle, and one (1) on rear.
