The Coeur d’Alene Nursery on the Idaho Panhandle National Forests has a requirement for 4 different types of grass seed. The seedlots must be certified, noxious weed free according to the state in which it was tested and demonstrate levels of purity, germination, and filled seed acceptable to the CdA Nursery. Certificates of laboratory seed analysis must be provided. Seedlots contaminated with cheatgrass brome (Bromus tectorum) or Japanese brome (Bromus japonicus) will be highly scrutinized. Substitutions for cultivars listed on the Schedule will be made at the discretion of the CdA Nursery. Wherever possible, the Contractor shall provide seed from recent harvest years (2020, 2019) so as to insure seed longevity and viability. Seed shall be packaged and transported in such a fashion as to prevent leaking or breaking of seed bags, moisture contamination, or any other harmful or damaging effect.
