Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Las Vegas Valley Water District is soliciting proposals from qualified and interested firms to enter into a professional service agreement to provide for the design and development phase of a capital improvement project that will overhaul two galleries within the OriGen building at Springs Preserve. The budget for this phase of the capital improvement project is $2 million. The professional services requested include, but are not limited to, all required licenses and expertise in the following: • Design and development of exhibition concepts that employ cutting-edge technology for immersive, impactful visitorexperiences to include traditional exhibitry such as collections, artifact reproductions and dioramas • Creation and execution of methodologies for data collection and analysis to gauge community interest in/knowledge of exhibition subject matter to inform exhibition content • Development of exhibit content including research, narratives, images, objects, quotes, final text, and graphic layouts • Negotiation and management of subcontract with an architecture firm vetted by LVVWD RFP process and chosen through mutual agreement with LVVWD/Springs Preserve for production of final architectural documents • Creation of final production documents including necessary technical drawings, specifications and final interpretive layouts to support exhibitry and exhibition elements • Conceptual/prototype testing for proof of concept • Sustainability in: exhibition design and construction; design modification of existing interior spaces; collections exhibition; and science/technology-themed exhibits • Innovative design solutions for accessibility • Development, maintenance, tracking of project schedule that includes all work efforts in the design development phase of this capital improvement project, including monthly progress reports • Creation of 20-year exhibition maintenance plan to include maintenance manuals for exhibition components and year-toyear sustainable maintenance guidelines that include maintenance for exhibition, structural and design elements • Development of branding books, marketing materials and initial development of website content
