Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Grand Forks requires that the successful bidder demonstrate their ability to access and provide within 5 hours notification by Matt Aarvig, Public Works Operations Supervisor (or designee): • Up to (3) 4 yd. loader with operator; • Up to (6) tandem trucks with operators; • Up to (3) Skid-steers with attachments and operators; • Up to (5) Motor Graders with operators; 1. Truck(s) shall be clean North Dakota/Minnesota DOT inspected vehicles. Pay loader must have a minimum 4 yd. bucket for pushing/maintaining the pile at the snow dump. Skid-steer(s) and attachment(s) must be designed to clear snow to the surface on 10’ wide asphalt or concrete path, following a significant snow event, in adverse winter conditions, and in continuous operation to the projects’ completion. Motor grader(s) must have 14’ cutting edge with wing and front wheel assist. All work will be inspected and approved by Matt Aarvig, Public Works Operations Supervisor, or designee.; 2. A two-way radio shall be equipped in each truck. All mechanical and heating equipment shall be in working condition throughout the hours of operation. Any required service work shall be the sole responsibility of the successful bidder.; 3. The successful bidder shall be responsible to provide adequate service, within Street Division timelines and response time, regardless of breakdowns or staffing issues. The successful bidder will be required to provide replacement trucks and/or drivers within one hour for scheduled snow removal service.; 4. All truck drivers shall be qualified, competent, and safe operators with appropriate and applicable licenses.
