Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) The company will provide electronic software to document traffic collisions and electronically submit the reports to SWITRS. The proposal shall identify tasks to be included as part of the project. At a minimum, these tasks shall include: A) Meet with the Police Department staff prior to the beginning of work to discuss background, scope, objectives, and other pertinent details of the project. B) Provide software to document traffic collisions using the California Highway Patrol’s Collision Investigation Manual (CHP-CIM) format. C) Provide software that can electronically export the aforementioned traffic collision reports to CHP-SWITRS (California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System). D) Traffic collision documentation software shall be available to use on any computer in the police department without the need to buy additional licenses for each computer. E) Traffic collision software will have at minimum the following functions; (1) GIS based mapping. (2) Segment crash diagram tool. (3) Ability to create or import crash reports. (4) Ability to complete analysis of crash reports. (5) Secure database accessible by Department personnel.
