Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. All removed materials will be legally disposed of off-site by the Contractor daily. 2. Remove one hundred (100) existing water heaters, including all strapping, clips, tanks, blankets, and the existing flue to the “B” vent. 3. Remove existing gas valves and flex supply lines. 4. Remove a portion of the existing 3/4” gas lines, including drip legs, as necessary for rerouting to the new water heaters and re-connection. 5. Remove a portion of the existing 3/4” water lines to re-route to the new water heaters. 6. Provide and install one hundred (100) new Rinnai RU130iN tankless water heaters or RHAapproved equal, per the manufacturer’s requirements, all local codes, ordinances, and the plans and specifications. 7. Provide and install new 3/4” gas main to the water heater units. Supply and install new gas valves, flex supply lines, and all parts and fittings necessary for a complete operational system. Contractor will provide manometer testing on all gas installations. 8. Contractor will re-connect all existing T & P lines or install new ones as necessary. 9. Contractor will provide and install a new PVC or CPVC condensate line from the water heater to the nearest waste line in the building crawl space. The condensate line will meet the manufacturer’s requirements. 10. Contractor will seal all existing gas lines and water line penetrations with an RHA-approved sealant, Rinnai metal pass-thru plates, escutcheon, or an RHA-approved equal. 11. Contractor will set each unit to the manufacturer’s recommended settings for altitude operation. 12. Contractor will check all water line connections, fittings, and joints for leaks. 13. Contractor will set each tankless water heater unit to 120° operating temperature and check the hot water at the kitchen sink faucet to verify. 14. Contractor will leave the mechanical room in a neat, clean condition. 15. Contractor will be responsible for obtaining any permits for the project. It is the Contractors’ responsibility to verify fees with the City of Reno prior to bidding on the work. 16. Contractor will be responsible for providing drawings if required by the City of Reno for permitting.
