Specifications include, but are not limited to: Cremation of whole body donors as part of UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences Deeded Body Program.; • Bidder must have on-site crematory and crematory manager; licensed and in good standing by the Cemetery and Funeral Bureau.; • Bidder will utilize a thermal-based cremation with appropriate incineration temperature set forth by the industry standard. All cremations shall be done in accordance with all applicable local, Federal, State and regulations.; • The Bidder shall be responsible for the disposal of any items internal/external foreign object remaining from the cremation of the decedent in accordance with federal, state and/or local regulations.; • Bidder must be located within a maximum twenty-five (25) miles to University of North Dakota, 1301 N Columbia Rd., Grand Forks, ND. Any other distance will be accepted at the discretion of UND.; • Bidder must accurately and completely fill out all documentation related to the decedent cremation as agreed upon by UND (as needed).; • Bidder shall be responsible for all chain of custody documentation, the decedent, and the cremains and will be released of responsibility upon pick up from University of North Dakota.; • Bidder is responsible for properly disposing of all waste related to the transportation of the decedent. The disposal of medical or hazardous waste must be in accordance with federal, state and/or local regulations.; • Average of 85 bodies are needed to be cremated from the Deeded Body Program annually. This is not a guarantee annually. Just an estimate.
