Specifications include, but are not limited to: build stormwater bio-swale in 4 parking lot; Work includes all management, materials not acquired by owner, labor, equipment, permits, etc. for a complete and finished product consistent with the design intent established in the bid documents and specifications. The work includes: saw cutting and removing asphalt in center sections of existing parking lots, excavating subgrade soil and replacing with a mixture of “structural soil” and stormwater topsoil (3-way mix sand-compost-topsoil), adding concrete curbs with inlets to direct stormwater from parking lot into the newly created landscape area, and then repaving a portion of the parking area over the areas filled with structural soil. The college has a location where excavated soil can be hauled for disposal that is within ¼ mile of the project site; bids for soil excavation should consider this plus spreading out the soil once complete. Asphalt and subgrade rock will need to be hauled and disposed of at another location. All parking lots in scope of work will need to be restriped.; 1. Concrete curb and gutter shall follow GS-103 (Fig. 5), and inlets shall follow GS-104 (Fig. 6) and be spaced a maximum of every 25 feet; 2. Fracture and loosen the native soil following initial excavation and before installing structural soil or 3-way soil blend; 3. Structural soil and 3-way soil shall follow specifications in Appendix F of Gresham’s Stormwater Management Manual; 4. Structural soil shall be compacted to at least 95% Proctor Density from a standard compaction curve AASHTO T 99 (ASTM D 698) prior to placement of base rock/asphalt and pouring concrete curb; 1. Inlets shall follow GS-104 (Fig. 6) and be spaced a maximum of every 25 feet. Space evenly and ensure that an inlet is located at the downstream (east end) of each reach of tree trench prior to any interruption (e.g. concrete bases for light poles); 2. Overflow notches shall be 4” wide and 6” deep (so that water can overflow to north side of tree trench). Space every 10 feet; 3. Structural soil and 3-way blend soil shall follow specifications in Gresham’s Stormwater Management Manual; 1. Concrete shall be 3,300 PSI strength at 28 days.; 2. Contraction joints shall be placed every 15’.; 3. Finish all exposed concrete surfaces; 4. Structural soil shall be compacted to at least 95% Proctor Density from a standard compaction curve AASHTO T 99 (ASTM D 698) prior to placement of base rock/asphalt and pouring concrete curb
