Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed solution would allow students to take language assessments to substitute for the world language credit requirements in high school. Directions/instructions on these assessments must be available in the language being assessed as well as in English. MNPS is seeking a language assessment for students to take to meet the world language credit requirements in High School. The vendor must offer assessments for at least 2 levels of the language being assessed. Instructions/Directions on the student assessment must be in the language being assessed. The vendor must offer the assessments in an online platform that is either web-based or can be accessed using Clever. All language assessments must assess proficiency of the following skills: Reading Writing Speaking Listening The vendor must include the following languages in their assessment package: Spanish Arabic Kurdish Swahili Somali Nepali Burmese Vietnamese French Farsi Pashto General Technical Requirements The system must be web-based and fully hosted by the Offeror. The system must be highly available and able to support concurrent usage appropriate for district-wide student testing with a very high degree of reliability. K-12 student enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year is 69,000. All MNPS teachers should have access, with MNPS anticipating 3,000 concurrent teacher users during testing. Test sessions should continuously and automatically save student progress in the event of test disruption and/or provide offline/asynchronous testing sessions. The assessment system should allow for updates of student, staff, and school information at least daily, as provided by the district student information system. The preferred integration methods are One Roster and/or Ed-Fi integration for pulling student, staff, and school rostering data. The system should allow for supplemental files in addition to the integration with the student information system. The system should allow for the inclusion of extensive student demographics including indicators for student accommodations in the data feed from the student information system or as a supplemental file. The system should allow for inclusion of additional/co-teachers as included in data feed from student information system. The system adheres to MNPS policies for protection of personally identifiable information and other sensitive student data. The system transmits, backups, and stores data securely. The system will destroy sensitive data in accordance with the Data Sharing Agreement. The system, if web based, must be fully compatible and functional on Microsoft's Edge browser and if PC client based, must operate on Windows 10 version 20H2 or later. The system allows MNPS to administer user accounts and authorize views that are based on appropriate levels of access (classroom, school-wide, district-wide, and system administrator). The system allows for automatic or MNPS configured assignment of user roles based on roster and additional staff data provided through integration. The system access is easily compatible with SAML, LDAP, Azure AD, or MS Office365 of Single Sign-on for staff and students. The system should allow for custom fields to be added to the UI and/or custom reports to be created and exported.
