Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful vendor and any specified subcontractors must be licensed to sell and/or distribute products and to provide such services. Vendors must have capability to provide the quantity and to deliver specified beverage products and have the capability to offer some form of equipment, such as vending machines or product display for service lines (i.e. ‐ tabletop refrigerators), free of charge and without an established commission per product service. Vendor is also responsible for replacing or repairing any broken or old equipment that is given to the District for the purpose of selling their beverages.; Vendors shall establish a schedule for regularly visiting each vending site to deliver product and ensure any equipment is functioning effectively.; Equipment: Contractor shall be solely responsible for any provided equipment at no cost to the District. All equipment provided must be new or in good condition. During the course of any contract or extension, the Contractor shall maintain the equipment in “like‐new” condition. The District shall have the final say on the suitability of any and all equipment. Contractor shall have the sole responsibility of securing, servicing, and maintaining the equipment. Any vending equipment provided shall be capable of accepting coins and bills. All equipment shall remain the sole property/responsibility of the Contractor. Any vending equipment must be capable of accepting $1 and $5 bills. ; Each vendor shall include a list of available equipment along with illustrations or pictures that include dimensions and any electrical needs with the submitted proposal. The District reserves the right to negotiate the types of equipment to be installed. Failure to provide the required equipment list may result in the proposal being determined non‐responsive. ; All electrically operated vending machines furnished hereunder shall be equipped so as to provide thermal overload protection. In addition, all machines furnished hereunder shall be equipped with all necessary safety devices which shall be maintained in an operating condition at all times, and shall be listed by the Underwriters’ Laboratories, Inc. All product vending machines furnished hereunder must be approved by the National Sanitation Foundation and the National Automatic Merchandising Association. ; Equipment Installation & Removal: Contractor shall be solely responsible for all costs associated with the installation and removal of his/her equipment. Contractor will be held liable for any damage to District property during installation and removal. The successful vendor must coordinate the removal and installation of equipment at no cost to the District, if applicable. The transition of service providers must be transparent to the District and without disruption of service. Transition should take no longer than sixty (60) days. All equipment must be installed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendation and all laws, regulations, and codes.; Products Offered: Each proposal must include a proposed product mix showing what merchandise is being offered (including trade names such as “Tropicana”), product description (e.g., low sugar, 100% juice, etc.), and portion size. All products must be compliant with the USDA Smart Snack nutrient standards.; A comprehensive list must be provided, showing all foods/beverages that are available, as well as nutrient information in the form of a specification sheet listing ingredients and nutrition fact panel. The successful vendor should expect the product selection/mixture to vary by locations and should be responsive to customer request. The actual product mixture must be mutually agreed upon. All product, machine, and location changes will only come from the District Food Service Manager in writing. All unauthorized changes will be at the contractor's risk and expense.; The District reserves the right to add additional products not supplied by the awarded vendor inside the vending machine given at least 50% of the stocked vending products are those supplied by the awarded vender.; Product Freshness: Product delivered must have expiration or best buy date appropriate for the shelf stability of the item and its volume sold at the schools so that it may sell, within reason, of the posted date
