Specifications include, but are not limited to: • To prepare and provide food and beverages with an emphasis on products that are healthy, fresh, to the greatest extent possible and locally sourced. • To potentially provide catering services (to include breakfast, coffee service, lunch, and snacks) upon request to any of the State occupied buildings on the Capitol Hill Campus. • To maintain operations in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner, using paper products, cutlery, and dishware that are recyclable, compostable, biodegradable or made from recycled materials, and using cleaning products that are environmentally preferable. • To ensure that the services provided continue to meet the highest standards for customer satisfaction, affordability, health and wellness, and sustainability. • To improve on the current café model and provide for a more modern service that will better serve the occupants while creating a more cost-effective operation for the operator. • To improve on food quality, create a better atmosphere that attracts continued patronship from employees and best utilizes the ample space made available. This includes but is not limited to providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service, and avoid undue interference with the operation of the building in which services are provided.
