Specifications include, but are not limited to: Two new funding opportunities are available that help with organizational capacity building, job creation and employment for creatives.; A category of support for apprenticeships is available to small creative businesses and entrepreneurs, and arts and cultural nonprofit organizations.; A category of support for marketing is available to arts and cultural nonprofit organizations.; These opportunities offer support in rebuilding capacity to not only return to business or improve business outcomes, but to plan for the future.; Creative Apprenticeship Grant: this grant is available for small creative businesses, creative entrepreneurs and arts and cultural nonprofits to design a new apprenticeship program and onboard an apprentice into their business or organization for a 6-month period. Grant details are: o The grantee will receive a total of $18,000 in services and support; o The planning phase will be aided by professional counselling services from Springboard for the Arts, resulting in the design of an apprenticeship program.; ▪ Springboard will also offer apprentice ‘job listing’ support for the grantee; o The implementation phase will provide stipend support to fund the inaugural apprentice for a 6-month period at $20 per hour and for 30 hours per week.; ▪ Springboard of the Arts will also provide training through 6 Work of Art Workshops for the apprentice; o The grantee will receive a small stipend to compensate for time developing and managing the apprenticeship program; Artist Driven Marketing Grant: this grant is available for small arts and cultural nonprofits to design a marketing plan and implement initial elements of the plan through marketing services offered by Juxtaposition Arts. Grant details are: o Grantee will receive up to $8,500 in services and support.; o The planning phase will be aided by professional counselling services from Springboard for the Arts, resulting in a marketing plan for the grantee.; o The implementation phase will be initiated with professional marketing services provided by Juxtaposition Arts (note: not all aspects of the marketing plan or the materials needed may be funded under this grant and if Juxtaposition is not able to provide a specific service, they will provide a referral)
