Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Lincoln has adopted an ordinance establishing a program governing the operation and use of Shared Mobility Devices (specifically, dockless electric foot scooters; herein referred to as “Shared Electric Foot Scooters”) beginning in 2022. The Shared Mobility Device Program will continue to support the City’s goals , including but not limited to 1) provide multimodal transportation options for enhanced mobility ; 2) create livable and connected neighborhoods ; 3) contribute to key initiatives identified in the Climate Action Plan (e.g., Build a Decarbonized and Efficient Transportation System): and 4) contributes to a transportation system that prioritizes safe mobility for all road users. Prospective operators proposing to participate in the Shared Mobility Device Program should demonstrate how their Shared Electric Foot Scooter service would contribute to these goals and identify other benefits their service would provide to Lincoln residents and visitors.
