Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide consulting fire protection engineering services under the terms of the agreement which may encompass but are not limited to: (1) Fire and life safety systems review at each college building; (2) preparation of design documents including but not limited to, plan, specifications, product data and calculations, to identify code compliance issues related to life safety and fire protection provisions of the Kentucky Building Code and applicable NFPA standards; (3) Design of fire alarm and detection systems; (4) Design and review of mass notification systems; (5) System upgrades and repairs; (6) Fire alarm Project Information Reports; and, (6) construction contract administration to insure installed systems comply with the requirements of the Contract Documents.; KCTCS will be looking to upgrade approximately 100 fire alarm panels throughout the state of Kentucky (two RFPs are being issued, this one for the Western Colleges and another for the Eastern Colleges. The project will include designed replacement of any required field devices (horns, strobes, smoke detectors, pull stations, new or additional wiring, etc.) for an all-inclusive operable system. KCTCS will also be looking to interconnect building fire alarm systems at various college campuses that will provide a central monitoring station.; The RFP will also include the designed replacement of any identified dialers that are currently experiencing communication issues. This equipment can be replaced with cellular or IP dialers. As indicated this project will be issued as two separate RFPs for this project. One RFP for each the eastern (Group 2) and western (Group 1) halves parts of the state (8 colleges for each RFP). This will allow for an equal division of panels for each RFP.
