Specifications include, but are not limited to: purchase and installation of a 50KW diesel generator to back up the existing 200 amp services in the car building of the Public Works Fleet Division. The new generator shall have a 48-hour fuel tank and a NEMA 4 enclosure, vibration isolated. The automatic transfer switch shall be 200 amp rated. This contract shall include factory test, start up, field test, operation and maintenance training with City of Bowling Green staff. Installation shall include all work associated with new generator installation. Contractors shall excavate and install a new 6-inch concrete pad. Conduit shall be ran overhead. Contractors shall perform walk-throughs to take measurements. All conduit and wiring associated with tying into existing 200-amp panel shall be part of this project. A battery charger and block heater shall also be installed in the new generator. Contractors shall be responsible for all related permit and inspection fees. Contractors shall also be responsible for full startup, including a power transfer after hours and shut down.
