Specifications include, but are not limited to: In an effort to reduce stress and support learning related to the social emotional andbehavioral health and wellness of our students (particularly but not limited to in elementary schools),Metro Nashville Public Schools is seeking a multi-year contract with one or more vendors for a trauma-informed social and emotional learning (SEL) and behavior program for mindfulness-based brain breaks.The program should be designed for implementation of ritualistically practiced mindfulness-based brainbreaks integrated into the regular school schedule (e.g., twice daily and as needed). Daily activities shouldinclude short, interactive mindfulness-based practices or lessons (e.g., breathing, movement, grounding, orother activities that support development of physiological (brain/body/stress response system) andemotional and behavioral regulation, self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationshipskills, or responsible decision making). The program must include scripted activities for delivery in-personby an instructor OR a library of guided videos, and include a scope and sequence, and systems foraccessing technical support and monitoring implementation fidelity and student and teacher-basedoutcomes.
