Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Policy analysis and legislative tracking • Coordinating federal affairs advocacy strategies • Relationship building on Capitol Hill • Utilizing and leveraging relationships within federal agencies that can yield valuable information that may provide a competitive advantage • Legislative, executive, and regulatory advocacy through direct engagement with federal decisionmakers • Analyzing our priority projects and identifying appropriate grant opportunities • Providing strategic advice and consulting services to shape priority projects in accordance with federal priorities articulated for grant programs and Requests for Proposals • Reviewing draft grant proposals and offering insight • Partnering to prepare and submit grant applications • Securing funds directly from federal agencies, as well as working through the annual appropriations process - in areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, and technology • Securing funds through Surface Transportation Reauthorization Bills • Ensuring Board and staff visits to Capitol Hill are as effective and as efficient as possible, e.g., meeting scheduling, coordination, and preparation.
