Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Property is being sold with the sole purpose of encouraging the moving of one of two homes owned by the Friends of the Library from their current location of 110 or 112 West Linn Street. The Property will not be sold to increase an adjoining landowner’s lot size. The home must be purchased from the Friends of the Library and moved onto the Property and made suitable for occupancy within 24 months of closing. Extensions to this time limitation may only be granted by specific permission of the City Council. The following requirements exist as required lot improvements for the movement of a Friends of the Library house: 1) If a driveway is installed exiting onto West Linn Street, it must be paved. 2) The public sidewalk must be reinstalled per code, which will be required as part of the building permit. 3) All Marshalltown building and zoning codes must be met. 4) A building moving permit must be applied for and approved by the City.
