Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1.1 Project #1 Contractor will be responsible for conducting a targeted scan and landscape analysis with focus groups of the national senior nutrition program network funded by the Older Americans Act (OAA) for the National Resource Center and Aging (NRCNA). The scan, analysis and focus groups will provide answers to the following questions regarding congregate meal sites that have re-opened after the pandemic: • What are best practices? • What are successful service delivery models? • What are some examples of public and private partnerships? • How is flexibility at the meal site utilized? • How is meal choice utilized? • How do nutrition consumers get connected to other needed services? Research agenda will be led by the Iowa Department on Aging and Iowa State University. Target audience includes Area Agencies on Aging, and local providers that provide congregate meals services. Contractor will be responsible for developing a report, summary analysis, quick guide and webinar providing results to the target audience, the national senior nutrition program network. 4.1.2 Project #2 Develop a training materials suite for local nutrition site staff. The training suite should include: • Text script for training videos; • Sample job postings; • Example policy and procedures NRCNA will work with Contractor to identify the appropriate format and subject area. 4.1.3 Project #3 Develop a learning collaborative or technical assistance group with an emphasis on malnutrition. The learning collaborative or technical group will be used by state units on aging that are implementing State plans. Technical assistance will be provided on how to address malnutrition and how best to incorporate it into State plans according to the OAA. Contractor must work with NRCNA to develop a simple application process for states to apply to be apart of the group. Multiple small groups may be hosted. Contractor must be knowledgeable about malnutrition and the OAA.
