Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vendor shall maintain records (production records, menus, CN labels, ingredient labels, recipes, invoices, receipts or other evidence) as USD will need to meet its responsibilities under this part, and shall promptly submit all invoices and delivery reports to USD Children’s Center no less frequently than monthly (7 C.F.R. 226.6 (i)(2)). The Vendor will provide the USD Children’s Center with copies of production records and recipes when requested. The Vendor will be responsible for complying with State and local health regulations at the preparation site. The Vendor agrees to package the meals in containers that meet food code standards. The Vendor is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the containers used to transport the meals. The preparation and service site are both subject to State and/or local health inspections. The books and records of the Vendor pertaining to USD Children’s Center food service operation shall be available for inspection and audit by representatives of the State Agency, USDA, or U.S. General Accounting Office at any reasonable time and place, for a period of three(3) years under the contract, or in cases where an audit requested by the State agency or USDA remains unresolved, until such time as the audit is resolved (7 C.F.R. 226.6 (i)(5)). The Vendor will be expected to fulfill all of the guidelines and expectations as set forth in this vended meals specification.
