Specifications include, but are not limited to: 5.1 At the start of the contract the contractor shall drop off empty containers prior to the first pickup if the department is needing new ones at the time.; 5.2 Vendor shall supply collection containers at no additional charge as requested by Owners for pickup service.; 5.3 Each driver employed by the Contractor must maintain a valid Driver’s License for the term of the contract; 5.4 The Contractor shall drop off the same quantity of cleaned and disinfected containers in good repair as being picked up that day in accordance with the Federal Regulations Title 49 Parts 100-180 at each location.; 5.5 The Contractor shall create and maintain accurate documentation detailing the destruction and disposal of the picked-up infectious/biological waste and maintain these records for at least 3 years after expiration of the contract.; 5.5.1 Within thirty (30) days after pick-up, the Contractor shall submit to the department representative proof of proper disposal using approved Special Medical Waste Manifest Forms.; 5.6 If any infectious/biological waste is spilled during the Contractor’s process of removing of and/or loading of containers onto the Contractor’s vehicle, or if any containers leak or spill before or during pick-up, the Contractor shall clean up this waste as described in provisions of OSHA regulations found at 29 C.F.R.1910.1030.; 5.7 The Contractor shall be responsible for all damages resulting from any leakage or spillage due to the Contractor's handling of containers or its failure to maintain containers in good repair.; 5.8 The Contractor shall provide department representative, manifests to document the number of containers received at each pick-up.; 5.9 The following size containers may be utilized by the Owners: 5.9.1 30 or 31 Gallon Boxes; 5.9.2 Optional: 30 or 31 Gallon locked box/containers; 5.9.3 9 Gallon Box/Container; 5.9.4 15 Gallon Boxes; 5.9.5 6.5 Gallon Boxes
