Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide architectural and engineering design services for the Department of Corrections ADA Upgrades at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in South Burlington, VT, and the Northern State Correctional Facility in Newport, VT; programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding and negotiation, and construction administration; 2.1.1. Programming Phase: Not Applicable 2.1.2. Permitting Phase: 2.1.2.1. Determine and prepare all necessary permit applications for local and state approval. 2.1.2.2. Assist BGS in preparation of any required Fire Safety permits. 2.1.3. Schematic Design Phase: Not Applicable 2.1.4. Design Development Phase: 2.1.4.1. Create separate plans and specifications for each facility for bidding separately. 2.1.4.2. Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility 2.1.4.2.1 Design an access route to the circulation path, picnic tables, and planter boxes to comply with ADA standards. 2.1.4.2.2 Specify a detention grade stainless steel picnic table that will meet ADA standards. 2.1.4.2.3 Design intake bathroom to meet ADA standards. 2.1.4.2.4 Design intake holding cell to meet ADA standards. 2.1.4.2.5 Design cell AA-01 to meet ADA standards. 2.1.4.2.6 Design dining room tables to meet ADA standards. Five percent of seating must be accessible. 2.1.4.2.7 Design ADA accessible cells in Foxtrot and Echo units to meet the 3% accessibility minimum. 2.1.4.2.8 Design the Divas House shower/ bathroom to be ADA compliant.
