Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of the project is to update the County’s Future Land Use Map (FLUM) so that it: • Aligns with the County’s strategic long-rang planning efforts (Growth Policy, Neighborhood Plans, Trails and Transportation Plans).; • Reflects and supports community values from Growth Policy and other long-range documents.; • Honors the community’s desire to protect what it loves and designate area for what it needs.; • Establishes the planning foundation for future zoning code updates.; • Provides guidance for growth and development in coordination with incorporated communities within the County.; • Adheres to statutory requirements from the State of Montana.; • Adheres to Growth Policy goal related to Public Service: “Provide meaningful opportunities for public engagement and establish a regulatory process that is transparent, fair, and efficient.
