Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide expert evaluation and consultative services to the Board in the area of psychology and neuropsychology; 1. Review the Act and its implementing regulations as applicable. 2. Provide general consultation and education to the Board in the area of psychology and neuropsychology, including written and oral presentations, upon request. 3. Upon request from the Board, conduct psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluations of applicants, licensees, and certificate holders if the Board has reason to believe that the applicant or licensee/certificate holder may cause harm to individuals affected by the applicant or licensee/certificate holder’s practice. 4. Review all reports, documents, records, and evidence provided for cases regarding individuals who are applicants for licensure or are licensed to practice as a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, direct-entry midwife, or electrologist, or are applicants for certification or are certified to practice as a certified nursing assistant, geriatric nursing assistant, certified medication technician, or certified medicine aide in the State of Maryland, including those authorized to practice nursing in the State of Maryland by virtue of a privilege to practice under the Nurse Licensure Compact, and are under investigation by the Board, the subject of disciplinary charges, or are referred for evaluation pursuant to the Board’s authority under Health Occ. Article, §§ 8-205.1 and 8-6A-15. 5. No later than 30 days after receiving the documentary materials described in Paragraph 4, above, from the Board, provide a detailed written expert report that is in the format required by the Board. 6. Provide consultation and advice to the Board, Executive Director of the Board, and/or Board investigators regarding obtaining additional evidence or conducting additional interview(s), and if a case is formally charged, work with, consult, and advise the Administrative Prosecutor(s) prosecuting the case on behalf of the State. 7. Prepare for and provide expert testimony at evidentiary hearings before the Board or the Office of Administrative Hearings, or before a court of competent jurisdiction, if necessary. 8. Maintain a good faith effort to assist the Maryland Department of Health (the “Department”); the Board’s Executive Director, Investigators, and other Board staff; and Administrative Prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General in fulfillment of the Contractor’s services.
