Specifications include, but are not limited to: Monitoring and Management: The City has deployed a robust, multilayered approach to IT security. The successful vendor will be responsible for monitoring and managing this system in the absence of internal staff, including: • Remote Monitoring of hardware for errors, warnings, or non-compliance; • Patching and compliance for Operating Systems, appliance upgrades and all network equipment including firewalls, switching, routing and wireless infrastructure; General Support: The successful firm will work with staff to discuss, design, develop, and implement various improvements regarding network hosting, services, security, redundancy, and disaster recovery.; This assistance is provided to staff via a block hour arrangement in relation to certain predefined projects. Assistance to consist of: • Help design and plan for new technologies, network upgrades, and evolving security standards, and assist current IT staff implement evolutions to the current network up to an architecture that supports efficiency, redundancy and effective leveraging of new technologies.; • Plan for strategic improvements regarding hosting, services, data storage, and security.; • Assist with troubleshooting; The successful firm will be available for on call support during normal business hours and for after-hours emergency and critical events as well as for monthly meetings with the Finance Director and IT staff to review and plan current and future IT projects.
