Specifications include, but are not limited to: North Laird Avenue sanitary sewer service stub installation from 14th to 17th Street.; 1. 10”x4” Sanitary Sewer Tap, QTY 5 EA; 2. 8”x4” Sanitary Sewer Tap, QTY 8 EA; 3. 4” PVC Cap, QTY 13 EA; 4. 4” PVC Street Elbow, QTY 2 EA; 5. 4” PVC Sanitary Sewer Pipe, QTY 345 LF; The work covered by this section of the specifications consists of furnishing all labor, plant, equipment, appliances and materials, and performing all operations necessary to construct and complete sanitary sewers and appurtenances in strict accordance with these specifications, the applicable drawings, and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract.; Vitrified Clay Pipe. All vitrified clay pipe shall meet the requirements and specifications for "Extra Strength Clay Sewer Pipe", ASTM. Designation C700 and subsequent revisions, or as otherwise shown on the plans. All vitrified clay pipe shall have factory-fabricated joints that meet the requirements and specifications of the latest revision of "Compression Joints for Vitrified Bell and Spigot Pipe", ASTM C425, or as otherwise shown in the plans. Provide VCP in 4" through 36" nominal diameter.; Polyvinyl Chloride Gravity Sewer Pipe and Fittings. All polyvinyl chloride gravity sewer pipe and fittings shall comply with the requirements and specifications of the latest revision of the following standards: 1. ASTM D-3034 SDR-35 for nominal pipe size 8" (200 mm) through 15" (380 mm). When noted on the drawings, provide SDR26 sewer pipe conforming to ASTM D-3034 for 8" (200 mm) through 15" (380 mm).; 2. ASTM F-679 for nominal pipe size 18" (460 mm) through 36" (910 mm).; 3. ASTM F-794 pipe stiffness – 46 PSI 4" (100 mm) through 36" (910 mm).; The PVC pipe and fittings shall be joined with integral bell and spigot type rubber gasketed joint. All PVC joints shall comply with the requirements and specifications of the latest revision of ASTM F-477, "elastomeric gaskets for joining plastic pipe". All pipe shall be made of PVC plastic having a cell classification of 12454-C, or 12364-C as defined by ASTM D-1784. The fittings shall be made of P.V.C. plastic having a cell classification of 12454-C, or 12364-C as defined by ASTM D-1784.; Ductile Iron Pipe and Fittings. All ductile iron pipe shall meet the requirements and specifications of the latest revision of ANSI/AWWA C151/A21.51, or as otherwise shown in the plans. The pressure class or thickness class of ductile iron pipe to be used shall be as noted on the drawings but not less than pressure class 350 for 8" through 12", pressure class 250 for 14" through 20", pressure class 200 for 24", and pressure class 150 for 30" through 48". All ductile-iron pipe and fittings requiring cement-mortar lining shall comply with the latest revision of ANSI/AWWA C104/A21.4. All ductile iron pipe and fittings used in sewer applications shall have the internal surface lined with Protected 401 Ceramic Epoxy Lining, or approved equal. The lining shall be calcium aluminate mortar made of fused calcium aluminate cement and fused calcium aluminate aggregates. Thickness of the lining shall be minimum of: 0.125" (3.175 mm) for 6" (150 mm) through 12" (300 mm) and 0.1875" (4.763 mm) for 14” (360 mm) through 24" (600 mm).; High Density Polyethylene Sewer Mains. All Polyethylene (PE) (HDPE – High Density Polyethylene Pipe) sewer mains shall have a Ductile Iron pipe size (DIPS). Unless otherwise stated in the specifications or plans the HDPE sanitary sewer main shall have a minimum DR-9 for boring applications. Provide minimum pressure class rating of 200 psi for DR-9 HDPE pipe as per ANSI/AWWA C906 Table 9. The cell classification shall be PE 3408 HDPE according to ASTM D3350. The construction and fabrication of the HDPE water main shall comply with the appropriate standards as set forth in the latest edition of ANSI/AWWA C906.; 1) Provide Affidavit of Compliance of all HDPE as per ANSI/AWWA C906 Section 6.3.; 2) All HDPE pipe shall be color coded with a green strip to indicate it is used for sanitary water.; 3) All fusion welds shall be in accordance with manufactures recommendations. All fusion welds shall be completed by properly trained personnel approved by the manufacture.
