Specifications include, but are not limited to: UNLV has developed new signage standards as part of their campus masterplan and is in process of replacing existing signs with new signs throughout the Maryland Campus. The project is to provide new campus signage including parking signs, building identification signs, vehicular directional signs, wayfinding signs and entry signs. The project will require development of a final site location plan, sign schedule, plans, and shop drawings to verify design and text. The project will include removal of existing signs and may include patch back of the surrounding material that may include concrete, asphalt, pavers, and/or landscaping. The project will include installation of new signs including verification of each location and requirements for footings that could be placed in concrete, asphalt, pavers and/or landscaping. The budget range for the Scope of Work of the Project is $2,500,000 to $2,850,000 based on final design. Pre-Construction work will be performed on a fixed price basis (see Pricing Response Form Attachment 3). The cost of the construction work will be based on a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) as described in the Contract Documents. UNLV will request GMP’s per the PreConstruction Contract for the base bid and any alternate work or unit pricing as identified during the design phases. An Architectural Design team has been selected to prepare documents and specifications for the Project. The CMAR will review the proposed designs and will collaborate with UNLV and the design team to develop a cost estimate, schedule, and constructability assessment. The CMAR will advise whether the cost is within the budget and provide input should the cost exceed the anticipated budget. The CMAR will also provide options for cost savings and efficiencies that are consistent with the program, function, quality, and vision.
