Specifications include, but are not limited to: Based on a mutually agreed upon scope of work, schedule and fee, Consultant’s services may include, but not necessarily be limited to: A. Research and review available right-of-way information B. Perform surveying for control, design and/or ROW mapping C. Performing geotechnical investigation D. Identify environmental issues, coordinate with regulatory agencies and obtain permits required to complete project E. Provide preliminary engineering investigations and reports, including design study reports, drainage studies, traffic studies, and preliminary engineer’s estimates F. Coordinating with utility companies G. Complete design activities, including preparing plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) H. Assist with bidding activities I. Provide assistance during project construction including reviewing submittals, responding to requests for information, and providing design revisions as needed Generally, each design will be required to meet standards of the MSB Subdivision Construction Manual 2020 and AASHTO Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets as applicable. Consultant shall reference Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities’ (AK DOT&PF) Standard Specifications for Highway Construction 2017 except where altered by MSB Standard Modifications or a project- specific Special Provision. Consultant shall develop an Engineer’s Estimate using pay items listed in the standard specifications. Provide estimated unit prices and total estimated costs for all items. MSB will make its historical records available for the determination of unit prices
