Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. The solicitation is for a multi-phase PCB assembly. 25 pieces for a pre-production run in Q3 of 2022 and 500 pieces for a production build in Q1-Q3 of 2023. 1.2. The 500-piece production build is contingent on funding being available for KSU via grant. 1.3. The 500-piece production build will have a 5-piece pilot run (5+495 pieces) that will ensure the assembly process has not changed in the time since the pre-production run was completed. 1.4. The 500-piece production build can be canceled by KSU. 1.5. PCB files may change between the pre-production run and production run with minor modifications to the design. 1.6. The 25-piece build will be made in two assembly runs. A run of 2 boards will be made to verify the design. After the design is verified, the remaining 23 boards will be assembled. Lead time is 5 days for each assembly run. 1.7. The 25-piece build is anticipated to be ordered in Q2 or Q3 of 2022. 1.8. The 500-piece build will have a 5-day lead time for the pilot run of 5 boards and a 15-day lead time for the 495-piece balance. 1.9. Solicitation PCB files are not final. Final PCB files will be provided at time of order of each of the phases. 1.10. Cost change due to significant changes in the design after the initial solicitation may be negotiated or cause for cancellation of the contract. 1.11. Any waivers must be declared in the bid. 1.12. Boards are to be shipped fully insured. Amounts are $1250 per assembled preproduction board and $750 per assembled production boards. 1.13. All assembly must be done in the United States as the custom ASICs in the design are export controlled.
