Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Procurement Support – Vendor will assist in assessing the vehicle and charging station options through the Vermont Public Transit Association (VPTA) joint procurements and in executing their purchases. Developing a charging plan based on the proposed service parameters to demonstrate reliable operations in all seasons and to minimize energy costs throughout the useful life of the vehicles.; 2. Charging Station Installation – Ensure that charging equipment is installed and commissioned in advance of vehicle delivery and work with third-party engineering, architectural and contractor professionals to complete charging station siting and installation, including any necessary facility upgrades.; 3. Evaluation Planning – Vendor will assist in the development of an evaluation plan to document key performance indicators and ensure that mechanisms are in place for the transit provider to track progress towards them. Specifically, the evaluation plan will identify required data collection methods for the on-going monitoring of electricity consumption and vehicle usage. The transit provider will execute the evaluation plan throughout the duration of the project and revise as needed to meet organizational objectives.; 4. Tier 3 Incentives – Vendor will perform the calculations required to document Tier 3 fossil fuel reductions associated with the project and assist in finalizing the agreement with Electric Utilities.; 5. Utility Rates – Vendor will work with transit provider, VTrans, electric utilities in exploring utility rates for electric transit bus charging. ; 6. Project Schedule - Vendor will develop a detailed project schedule for each implementation that VTrans and the transit provider can use to monitor schedule adherence to each task throughout the course of the project.; 7. Grant Writing - Vendor will support VTrans in the writing and submission of grant applications to covert the current Public Transit fleet from Diesel or Gasoline combustion engines to low or no emission electric vehicles.
