Specifications include, but are not limited to: General: 4 Ton capacity self-contained infrared reclaimer and storage unit, designed to reclaim hold & store plant mix asphalt as well as previously used asphalt at working temperatures for extended periods of time. Unit to be trailer mounted with three shoveling doors at rear of unit, and on 7000 lb axles with electric brakes. Hot Boxes with equivalent specifications will be considered on a case by case basis.; Heating System: o Energy Converters- two (2) 50,000 BTU ceramic faced infrared type converters. Secured in heating chamber. Independent thermostat control of each converter to more accurately control temperature of asphalt.; o Electronic Ignition- consisting of electronic module, flame sensing probe and direct spark electrode.; o Fuel- Propane gas (vapor withdrawal) drawn from two (2) 100 lbs. cylinders (cylinders not included), with automatic switchover valve.; o Tank holders- Heavy duty hinged steel brackets, with lockable tank/valve cover.; o Safety Controls- 100% shutoff gas valve, controlled by electronic ignition module, with a direct spark electrode and flame-sensing probe automatically shuts down ignition and gas valve if no flame is present for 12 seconds. High-pressure hose with reusable fitting, regulator to reduce withdrawal pressure to 11”-15” water column. External emergency shut-off valve.; Temperature Controls: o Cold material placed in unit will be totally reclaimed within 16 hours.; o Reclaiming cycle skin temperature not to exceed 320 degrees F.; o Controls to automatically reduce skin temperature to 300 degrees F maximum after material has been reclaimed, allowing material to be held for up to 48 hours without damage to the asphalt.; o Unit to reclaim at minus 10 degrees Fahrenheit.; o Controls to be located in a secured location, behind lockable doors to protect the unit from tampering.; o A combination of sensing devices, thermostats and timers to control the reclaiming and holding cycles automatically.; o Time delay system to allow unit to turn on automatically at pre-set time on any chosen day.; Construction: o Chassis- 5x3-1/2 x 3/8 angle front boxed- 4” channel cross members. Heavy-duty nose plate with three (3) position holes.; o Storage Bin- Double wall to hold heated air to prevent heat loss from asphalt. 10 to 16 gauge steel double and triple wall throughout. Hopper of 12 gauge steel for extra-long life.; o Insulation- Inside of middle wall coated with 1250 degree aluminum paint to reflect infrared evenly around inner containers. Third wall around complete unit holds 2” rigid insulation.; o Loading Doors- Manually opened top doors form chute for loading asphalt. 2” rigid insulation.; Mounting: o Type- Dual axle trailer; o Axle- Two (2) rated at 7000 lbs.; o Suspension- Leaf Springs; o Wheels- Steel, heavy duty; o Tires- Four (4) 10 ply tubeless, 12 x 16.5 heavy duty; o Brakes- Electric on all wheels (see options)
