Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Corrections is looking to establish a three-year agreement for all chemical grenade and projectile type products to be utilized by the Rhode Island Department of Corrections Chemical Munitions - Per the attached specification. The Chemical Munitions Unit will supply all facilities and the C.E.R.T team with proper equipment to conduct their duties. The supply list will contain all chemicals less Lethal munitions and related equipment. All equipment is listed as no substitutions due to the nature of the equipment used by this unit. All equipment has been tested by the chemical Munitions Unit and compared to other similar equipment on the market and found to be superior in operation and effectiveness.; ► Fuzed munitions shall have a positive safety clip that prevents unintentional release of the pull ring.; ► Rubber ball grenades shall have a stainless-steel clamp.; ► Rubber ball grenades shall be waterproof.; ► All fuzes shall have the manufactures initials cast as an integral part of the fuze body.; ► All fuzes shall be waterproof.; ► All fuzes shall have a delay time of one- and one-half seconds, plus or minus three tenths of a second or better.; ► All 37mm cartridges shall have an indented head stamp with the initials of the manufacturer.; ► All 37/38mm cases shall be made out of impact extruded aluminum and not plastic. All products shall have the manufacturing date printed directly on the product. All products shall have a lot number printed directly on the product.; ► The manufacturer shall be able to trace all components of its products to their origin of manufacturer by lot number.; ► All products shall be built to military specification standards or better.; ► The manufacturer shall be able to provide proof of product liability insurance.; ► All wooden batons shall be sealed to prevent swelling inside the case, due to moisture.; ► The manufacturer shall furnish fuze test certification for 96-hour salt spray per ASTM-B-117-90 or MIL-T-12879A.
