Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is seeking professional design services for a feasibility study to assure the currently conceived approach for developing a new Pioneer Home in Fairbanks is viable on the existing site and that a program to house 100 senior residents in need of Assisted Living services can be accommodated in 60,000 square feet or less. The program will develop space lists, special adjacency requirements, room criteria sheets, and a pre-concept building and site plan to test the project findings. These project criteria will be priced to establish a probable construction costs and construction duration. When completed the department will use the planning document to support the project funding request and ultimately serve as a scope of work for designers to take the project to the next steps of design and construction.
