Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kansas Department of Administration is requesting proposals from qualified companies to provide an integrated security solution that meets or exceeds industry standards. The solution shall also include comprehensive training, guidance documents, and a preventative maintenance agreement. This RFP is being issued to enable KHP to control and monitor a holistic security operations program from multiple locations. Objectives of this project include: A. Integrating the access control and video surveillance systems. B. Provide comprehensive operational training for the security systems. C. Establishing efficient technical support from the integrator and system manufacturer. D. Obtaining fair and predictable pricing for the initial installation and for recurring costs such as licensing fees, software upgrades, or technical support. E. Procuring open-platform access control and video surveillance software that will allow the use of multiple suppliers for all of the hardware required for a complete system, including card readers, door boards, power supplies, video servers, modern storage, workstations, and cameras.
