Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vendors are requested to submit a proposal offering their complete line of available professional services for special education commonly used by educational entities and school districts that meet the guidelines below. MISD reserves the right to accept or reject any items of the proposal submitted. The purpose of the RFP is to establish pricing from a qualified vendor to provide a program evaluation for Special Education and Section 504. The awarded vendor will be available for MISD end-users to utilize at their discretion. The proposed work will correct the deficiencies in the system and allow the red and yellow labels to be removed. The finished system will be up-to-date, reliable, and serviceable for the future. Comprehension Program review of the Special Services Department will include: Evaluation of all program requirements and activities that include, but not limited to: Review and recommendations of Special Education Review and recommendations of Section 504 Review and recommendations on TAPR and RDA reports Review and recommendations on district and campus improvement plans Review and recommendations on staffing procedures/ratios Review and recommendations on organizational structure Review and recommendations on continuum of services Review and recommendations on instructional arrangements and instructional practices Review and recommendations on inclusive services Review and recommendations on training procedures Review and recommendations on campus level needs Review and recommendations on eligibility folders Review and recommendations on student eligibility Provide a comprehensive report on strengths and weaknesses of each program (Special Education and Section 504) Establishment of a long term improvement plan for the district Compliance with state and federal regulations
