Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Education (Department) is seeking a secure cloud-based software application for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) that parents can complete and submit directly to their child’s School Administrative Unit (SAU for processing as defined in this RFQ document. This RFQ is for a web-based system that provides the parents a website to login and complete a confidential Meal Benefit application for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The application would be transmitted directly to the SAU for processing. The Food Service Department Director or designee would log into the program and complete the application processing. Once processed master lists of students can be created. The online application provides a paperless method for family to submit Meal Benefit applications. This would aid and maximize student access to meals. PL2019 Chapter 480, effective 9/19/2019, requires the Department to offer an online application option to SAUs.
