Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Functionality: • Must be built with WordPress.; • Must be kept on the library system’s current third-party hosting platform.; • Must be built using a robust, secure, responsive, drag-and-drop builder/page editor for WordPress, such as Elementor or Avada.; • Plugins or widgets added to the site must be fully functional and easy to use by Bridges Library System staff.; • Should be designed for optimal function and modern UX-design.; • Ability to integrate with Google Analytics.; • Ensure a scalable website that allows library system staff to add to the website in the future.; • Application of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) service to each webpage.; B. Content and Navigation: • Must develop a Home page and an estimate of 50-60 internal pages. The exact number of internal pages will be decided upon with the approved vendor when determining a new, improved reorganization of the website.; • Must serve the dual audiences outlined above and the organization of the website must make a clear distinction between the two audiences.; • A password protected section for member library access is preferred. This section would have one login for all staff, with a primary login point. Behind the login page would be a landing page with multiple internal pages staff could then choose to click on. The goal is to have some of the staff resource pages behind one password so staff do not have to enter a password every time they want to get to each individual page. There will only be one password for all staff, not multiple passwords or permission levels.; • Minimal copywriting services preferred on new or select pages. If this is above budget, Bridges staff will do copywriting.; C. Accessibility: • The website should be ADA accessible and follow current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG); • The website should be optimized for mobile use.; D. Miscellaneous: • Experience building government, library, and/or non-profit websites.; • Experience working with dual audiences.; • Must provide a dedicated project manager and a project team to work with the library system staff throughout the project.; • Must be able to start and finish the website project in 2022.; • Be able to provide a minimum of three mock-ups.; • Be able to provide a minimum of three revision periods.
