Specifications include, but are not limited to: The goals for the registered dietician include, but are not limited to: • Developing menus and recipes that meet one-third of the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs), along with adhering to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA) that are geared towards the younger (60 plus) individuals and individuals looking for ethnic meals that meet their cultural desires. • Developing nutritional educational content for older adults in the form of brochures, flyers, webinars, and other means that will engage and inform older adults and caregivers. • Developing and providing webinars or presentations for nutrition participants and service providers either in-person and/or virtual. • Developing materials that can be distributed to individuals that receive home-delivered meals. • Developing a pilot program to provide free consultations (in-person and/or virtual) for older individuals that are referred for a consultation because they screened at high nutrition risk. • Developing and implementing a pilot program to offer home-delivered meal selections from an approved state vendor for individuals living with dietary restrictions and/or culturally appropriate meal choices. • Provide direct referrals to Aging Services, Aging & Disability Resource Link (ADRL), if necessary, to assist older adults in finding additional home and community-based services so they can remain in their home and community.
