Specifications include, but are not limited to: TJJD is seeking an Alcohol and Other Drug Curriculum that contains a holistic vision that covers the issues that today’s youth face.; Curriculum Requirements: New curriculum shall address the complex needs of TJJD. For example, the majority of our youth have multiple treatment needs including; trauma, lack of coping skills, child abuse, trafficking, and other mental health needs. The new curriculum shall be available in multiple languages and an emphasis on trauma informed methods for managing substance use disorders.; Curriculum used must have the following requirements: a) Evidence Based curriculum, b) teaching coping mechanisms c) and provide AOD education.; The curriculum must be an integration of therapeutic and didactic approaches as well as incorporating a cognitive/emotional decision-making process. It shall include the stages of change, be evidence based, and shall include a journal option to meet TJJD’s youth’s treatment needs. In addition, it shall be culturally diverse and gender neutral.; Required Training: The awarded contractor shall provide licensed facilitators that will lead trainings and ongoing fidelity monitoring, along with written materials. The awarded contractor trainer will assist with further professional development which builds on the competencies and skills taught at the Initial Training, with a focus on the curriculum techniques and session facilitation on skills and strategies. The facilitators shall hold a professional counseling licensure (LPC/LCDC/MSW/LMSW) and have 2 years’ experience as a practitioner with an instructor with a biography describing the instructor’s experience. This shall be measured by lesson plans, evaluations of course preparation and presentation. In addition, a separate overview presentation of program shall be provided so that ancillary staff, administrators, and clinical directors at each faciality understand the program.
