Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful contractor shall: Be responsible for the collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste generated at designated facilities in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws. Provide and place containers for the collection of solid waste materials generated at each designated facility in the sizes and locations listed on the bid form. Containers shall be like new when first placed. The contractor shall maintain all containers (including lids) in good and working condition and shall, at their own expense, replace any containers, or lids, that are shown to be in poor condition. Collect solid waste on a regularly scheduled basis, determined by the County and agreed upon by the Contractor. Certain containers may be placed on “will call” status, as determined by the County. Maintain a clean area around dumpsters including picking up and removing any debris created as a result of the collection activity. Be able to respond to any irregularities in waste generation. The contractor shall respond within 24 hours to any unforeseen/special pick-ups requested by the County.
